Open Day 2012 ... |
For the past two years, Indian institute of science, Bangalore have been organizing open day in which students from school and colleges are invited to exhibitions/demonstration/seminars/games organised at various centres/departments across the institute. Department of Materials engineering has been playing a very active role in this regards. The exhibition/demos on display in the department highlight the crucial role of materials and the properties in enabling technological breakthrough. The exhibition and the live demo’s will help to make understand the young and the curious minds the close relationship between materials properties and the applications in day-to-day life as well as in advanced engineering applications. It is our hope that this technological fair would ignite the inquisitive spark of the young minds towards a carrier in scientific research. |
